Jaycee Lee Dugard. Our Disturbing Behaviour Must End
Phillip Garrido, on parole after a serious sex conviction and a registered sex offender, is accused of kidnapping Jaycee Lee Dugard in 1991. Dugard’s stepfather stood helplessly as she was dragged into a vehicle by a woman within sight of her home in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Altogether Garrido and his wife Nancy Garrido face 29 felony charges, including forcible abduction, rape and false imprisonment.
El Dorado County Jail in Placerville, CA holds Phillip Garrido pending his trial. From the district Attorney’s Office in El Dorado County we are told that Garrido can watch his case unfold on television and through periodicals.
We Now Come To The ‘Latest’ In The Phillip Garrido Case.
Just two days ago, from his jail cell Garrido wrote a letter to Sacramento Television Station KCRA in which he complained that a number of Jaycee Lee Dugard’s Civil rights had been abused.. These included her Rights of Free Speech and being repeatedly denied access to an attorney during questioning. Garrido requested that they contact Dugard at the earliest possible date.
Can you believe what you are reading?
So Garrido has the right to follow his story on TV and write to the media and thereby influence his case. By this I mean he can keep the nightmare alive for the Dugard family. Constantly putting his name in their front room. Someone in the family is bound to turn the TV on and hear of this letter. What right does he have to do this? What are we doing letting him?
This appears to be about Phillip Garrido’s rights. The convict’s rights. He’s allowed to keep updated with his saga and the news on TV. Apparently he can talk about his case with the media via face to face interviews, telephone calls and by letter. Putting his ideas on paper and sending them to KCRA. His thoughts and ideas will soon be in the public domain and Garrido knows this.
The Dugard family are bound to see the letter or hear about the letter and the nature of its contents.
So what exactly are we dealing with here? The powers that be are condoning Garrido’s rights. His rights to continue his abuse of Jaycee and her family.
Jaycee Lee Dugard and her family need our absolute protection. We mustn’t let them down again.
So I ask you who’s sick? Phillip Garrido for standing jointly accused of 29 felony charges, for writing this letter, or for us letting him?
Do our rights count at all? What about the rights of Jaycee Lee Dugard and her tragic family? What about the victim’s rights? The right to be shielded from such beasts as Garrido!
