Shower Curtain Cleaning Tips

0

There are some things that you can do to make your shower curtain last you longer. There are some ideas and methods that have been developed to keep your bathroom clean and tidy.

The biggest problem with shower curtains is the resultant moulds that tend to form on it because of always being in a damp environment. You could hang the curtain out to dry in the sun when you finish bathing. This will give it a chance to completely dry and kill any germs and bacteria that are likely to be on it.

Another option is to wash your curtain whenever you do your laundry or more regularly if need be. The thing is in addition to your normal laundry detergent you can add a cup of vinegar and a cup of any bleaching agent. include some white towels or linen, you can even add some of your clothes as well.

Hot water will damage the curtain as it might either melt or shrink in size. When you are done washing hang it out in the sun to dry, do not throw it in the dryer as it might get damaged.

After you are done washing soak it in salt water and vinegar and then hang it on the rod and leave it to dry from there. The salt water and the vinegar will prevent the formation of mildew and moulds.

There are also some sprays that are now available that you can use on your shower curtain. The sprays serve the same function as the salt water and vinegar solution. Remember to always wash down any soap foams that fall on the shower curtain; they are the ones that usually become moldy.

Looking after your shower curtains well means that they will last you longer You will also find some great shower curtain ideas from any of the following:

  1. kids shower curtains,
  2. purple shower curtain liner,
  3. hookless shower curtains nylon
