The Loss Of Someone Close To You .

0

Grief is both harrowing to watch, and endure, and the loss of a loved one can be one of the saddest moments in our lives. People deal with grief in various ways, some people are able to cope with their grief and carry on with daily life, whereas others can find it hard to cope and their lives become a misery.

The grieving process can be [long|timely] and the first stage is most [certainly|definitely] denial. Denial tends to be the first reaction [one|someone] [gets|feels] when [told|informed] of the loss of a loved one. Many people will ask why the [person|deceased] has left them alone and then the denial will [set in|begin] and they will refuse to believe they have really gone.

Anger may then follow as we realise they really have left us. We may be angry that they have left us widowed or angry that they have left children behind. No one wants to be left alone and when we marry or have children we presume they will be with us for life, but sadly, for many of us this isn’t the case.

Depression may then set in as we [come|learn] to realise we really are [on our own|alone] and no matter how angry we get, or upset, they are not coming back. There are many people who become that depressed they refuse to [go out|leave the house] or [see|talk to] people and others have to take medication to overcome their feelings. Emerging from depression [can|may] take weeks, months or, in [extreme|some] cases, years, and it is at this time, that we have finally accepted the loss, and realise that life must go on for both ourselves, and our [family and friends|friends and family].

Best handled together with the help of family support and bonding, grief can be a very sad and emotional journey. To help overcome the great sadness and grief that you feel, share the loss of a loved one with close family and friends and learn to rejoice in their life instead of mourning your loss.
