Video Description

Record cold and snowfall struck my garden for 5 weeks in 2025. This extreme cold and rare ice and snow storm threatened my cold sensitive fruit trees and winter vegetable garden. My only hope was to protect plants with agricultural fabric. After over a month under cover, I had amazing results. These fabric row covers saved my garden: here is how I did it.

I take you on a garden tour during the record setting cold and snow. You'll see my winter garden and cold sensitive fruit trees buried under snow and ice. Then, the second half of the video is another garden tour after the snow melted, showing a before and after view of my plants after being covered for 5 entire weeks! What survived? What died? Come find out!

Agricultural fabric row covers can be left on top of plants for long durations, because they are breathable, they transmit sunlight and allow precipitation to permeate. However, it is not as simple as throwing them on top of plants and walking away. You have to understand how to use row covers properly, and this video will explain how to use them to protect plants from cold, ice and snow.
